2.  Overwhelmed with Maintenance

Even the most organized home can become a challenge to maintain without consistent upkeep. The physical tasks of home maintenance can become overwhelming. It may be too difficult to mow the lawn, for instance, or give your home a thorough cleaning like you used to  If you’ve reached the stage where you feel overwhelmed or just think you could make better use your time or money, it’s time to go smaller.

 3. Home Is To Big

Are there rooms you haven’t spent time in for weeks. If the unused rooms do nothing but collect dust, then they are costing you money. Unused rooms still end up costing money not only in property taxes but also to heat, cool and maintenance

 4. Lifestyle Changes

 Medical issues or disability is one of the most common reasons some choose to downsize. Maybe the time has come where climbing the stairs multiple times a day is getting to be too much. Maybe you can no longer enjoy the yard it’s too big or hills to steep and the need something flatter.

 5. Financial Concerns

Financial issues can be another reason to consider downsizing. Maybe you bought a home you could afford, but circumstances have changed and it's now more difficult to pay the mortgage, utilities and upkeep. You shouldn’t have to struggle each month to come up with the money.

 6. You want to be closer to your family or friends

Is distance what’s keeping from your family or friends? Consider moving closer. Downsizing to a smaller home closer to your friends and family will allow you to spend more time with then and enjoy doing the things you want to do. Love is one of the most valuable gifts in life and one that you cannot buy anywhere.
